10 Reasons Everything Old Is New Again at SXSW (And Why That’s OK)

Southwest (SXSW) is a portal into new ideas, or at least new expressions of ideas. Napster co-founders have revamped their game changing project and are featured in a documentary Downloaded, Dave Grohn and Stevie Nicks are retaking the stage; indie bands and craftsmen are making a resurgence.

With anticipated movie remakes, re-adapted plays, and old grunge stars taking center stage again the world must be feeling nostalgic. Unexpectedly the forward thinking innovators are using this to define the future. Luminaries not set on making the unbelievable, elusive golden item, but focused on reworking the brilliance of older generations and making them new again.

SXSW is a fascinating focal point of creativity and innovation. I’m inspired reading about the new gadgets, movies, and music showcased at the annual event.
