Working smoothly does not equate to teamwork. Having strict directives followed may be efficient but is it unlimited? Your team may pleasantly surprise you if given the chance to take an flexible solution within a set of parameters. This is an important reminder that what people value highly is the chance to be recognized for the important work that they do and to be challenged to develop new skill sets and be successful with new experiences.
